| Grand Cherokee Scale Build
I recently purchased the Axial SCX10 and I want to use it to build a Grand Cherokee scaler, preferably the 99-04 body style. My problem is I'm having a rather hard time trying to find a 1:10 body for the project. Any idea where I could possibly get one? I'm still looking all over the place with absolutely no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a good WJ build... Not sure if it will help you find a body but it's always nice to drool. I have also heard of guys finding newbrite rc stuff at good will or salvation army. Hungarian Jeep Grand Cherokee Last edited by BLKXJ 96; 05-09-2012 at 08:51 PM. |

I have been on the hunt for a grand cherokee body (zj preferred) to build my scx10 with, but I have been unable to find anything. I know what I need to find, it's the finding it part that is tough. I have googled and googled for 1/10 scale grand cherokee bodies of any year and come up empty every time so far. I am going to start looking for them at goodwill and really start stopping by garage/ yard sales when its that season again, because they are out there, but you will have to search high and low for a while to find it I have settled on the proline cherokee for now, but I am already having the itch to change it up, and its only been mounted on the chassis for less than 2 weeks, lol! Anyways, good luck on your search, and if you find one, let me know where!!

I gave up on looking for a scale Grand Cherokee body after countless frustrated hours of searching and constantly coming up empty handed. So instead, I'm going to use the Pro-Line Jeep Comanche body and set of scale 1.9 Pitbull Rockers that I picked up from amazon.com. I might even swap out the rear links for leaf springs but I haven't decided 100% on doing that yet.

Don't give up! It took me 2 yrs to find a nip decender (tracker) body. Just keep that project on the back burner and with any luck, one day...

I'm not giving up completely on a Grand scaler, just the 1/10. I found a 1/24 Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ model kit that I'm going to do instead. I'm going to use that for a micro scale build using the Losi Micro Trail Trekker platform. I did a little extra searching today for the 1/10 build and all I could find were metal die-cast Grand Cherokee bodies. I won't use die-cast bodies, too heavy.
