Default to trim or not to trim?

I actually got a perfect paint job not a scratch or run on it but I can't use it without trimming with 1.9s nvr mind 2.2s I hate to cut into it cause it'll look like a third grade art project if I do lol

Maybe adjust the link length so your tires are dead on centered in the wheel wells. Then add bump stops on the exterior shock shaft just long enough so the tire goes and just misses kissing the body at full stuffing. You will lose a tad articulation but hey, no body trimming.

Good job on the paint. Looks like it just needs the wheelbase moved around.

that's what she said.

Seriously though, looks like the wheelbase is off a little bit. Shorten the wheelbase and you might not need to trim?

x2 , looks like if you pull your wheels in just a little, you would be able to make it work ok.. killer paint by the way !!

I'm running the 80's body with 2.2's I just raised my body all the way up and trimmed a bit it still rubs a tad under full articulation but not to bad

I say trim, make it do what the chassis is made for, crawling. Unless it's going to sit on a shelf and collect dust from your house and not from outside. Just my opinion.

Edit: by the way your bumper is painted blue.

Fix the wheelbase...takes 15min with a dremel and a little bit of experimenting.

Tip if you decide to trim. Take a sharpie and color in where you would want to trim back. Then you can stand back and get an idea of what your wheelwells and overall look will be before trimming it. You can remove sharpie with just some rubbing alcohol. If your colored in "trim" areas do not look good, keep experimenting till you get a look you like. A more curved wheelwell may sound like what you want but when you see it done, it doesn't look right on the vehicle. This may help before you go and cut, cause once it is cut, there is no going back. Good luck

you could look into getting a set of dingo fender flares, then cut and trim, and put the flares on..they look good imo on all kinds of bodies
