Mounting Semi Truck Style Bodies to SCX-10...

Hi everyone.

I made a thread just now about mounting a hard body on an SCX-10, but one of the things that I'm really interested in is putting a semi truck style body on the front of the chassis and then making my own flat bed.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or how-tos for how to get a body mounted onto the SCX-10 chassis??

This is the type of cab I'm talking about, in case I'm not making any sense:
Tamiya 56514 Scania R620 6x4 Highline Body Parts Set

I would be mounting the cab onto the chassis and then making my own rear bed part...so I just kind of need some info about whether or not the body itself will fit on the chassis, and maybe some tips for making that happen.

I've got a Ford Aeromax cab on an SCX chassis, I mounted an electronics plate across the front of the chassis with an L plate with velcro facing forwards to 'grab' some velcro on the inner lip of the front grill, and 2 L brackets running vertically down the back of the cab to slot over the chassis rails attached by velco to two side step boxes.

It's worked for me, no slippage yet, even after a couple of huge rolls.

Oh cool!!

I was going to go with more of the flat fronted style of semi body, but that looks awesome!! It looks like a truck that would actually be out in the woods towing other big trucks that do happen to get stuck.

Good stuff!! I'll look forward to the other pictures.
