Default Semi-Stock Xj Build

So i've been wanting to build an Xj scaler for a while, and im just getting to it now. Currently in the process of rebuilding my rig from its neglected state. Just made all new links for it and am in the works of making a panhard bar for a cms setup. Trying to fab mostly everything myself due to being on a tight budget. Rear shocks are from my Jammin scrt-10, a little stiff but i think i want this to be a tow rig in the future so that should be beneficial. Upper links have also been shortened and relocated farther up the frame rails.
Parts soon to be ordered:
-Pro-Line Xj body
-Spider gears and diff cup for front axle (going for the stock open diff in front performance)
-Servo (someone point me in the right direction here, need something very inexpensive but with decent power)
-Wheel weights-going with lead stick-on balancing weights
-Junfac driveshafts

Well, onto the pictures!
These show the beginning of my panhard mount on the axle, and my old extremely hacked dingo truggy body.

On a 1680 x 1050 resolution, you can see 1/3 of the picture on the screen.

For the servo, I always have good luck with the Hitec 645MG, it;s decent and not expensive.

For the driveshafts, stay away from junkfac....I bought a set for my Tamiya CR01, on the 1st run the turck started to wobble all over the place, I found that a little bit of sand was binding up the joints. I took them apart to find them galled up, I polished everything up and headed back out. 1 pack, everything ok, 2nd pack, shafts started to bin up again. I took them off and used something different.

Yea the JunFac is the same general idea as the MIP but the MIP shafts are WAY BETTER!! I've been using the same MIP's for 3 years (including about 25 scaler comps) and never had a single issue. I've seen guys with brand new JunFac shafts having issues on the trail. It's worth the difference in price to buy the MIP.
