Easiest for gluing these bodies is plain old plumbing PVC cement And to answer your question from earlier, the Hilux grill will bolt right in. You'll need the Hilux N parts bag (has the headlight buckets), the P parts bag (lenses) and the W parts (the actual grille). |

Looking great. I love what you did with the rear shocks. Do you feels as if the single body mount is negative in anyway? IE the body rocking back and forth?

lil too much "FLEX".. or what we non noobs would call "Articulation".. too much will hurt you. thats a known fact but another known fact is that noobs LOVE LOTS of FLEX ... just playin. rig looks good and you have a good idea of how to setup shocks sounds like. but oil in them is good, you should have lighter fluid not drain them. I run full droop on all my rigs also. internal springs under the piston is good to limit out some of that rear down travel. have fun with it is most important! it looks really nice! good work! keep us posted! oh and get some nice sliders. i know a guy who makes them!! | Re: First Gen Toyota SCX-10 thanks a lot! Yeah the triangulated rear shocks looks cool but trust me doesn't work unless your running leafs. With coils seems to work better moved a little forward on the frame and sitting as wide as possible for side hilling. And having just one hole in the rear works fine because of the two up front body doesn't rock at all.

Finished up making making the holes to mount the body. sits perfect for what i want! Sitting low Some rear flex And a side shot of the offset. looking sick! What do you guys think!? I need 1st gen body style bumper ideas. the other bumpers i've made don't look as good on this body as they do on the tacoma/honcho body style |

I have experience TIG welding, MIG welding and now brazing. I bought this torch from Home Depot... Bernzomatic TS8000KC Premium Torch Kit-331044 at The Home Depot And this brazing kit (when it was $29). Lincoln Electric Safety-Silv 45 2-Piece Brazing Kit-45KPOP at The Home Depot It's really simple, you have to put as little amount of flux as you need, heat the steel til it just starts to turn red and dab the solder in. Takes about 10 seconds from start to finish to do a joint. It's a piece of cake! |
