Question for the guys using summit trans

I have a summit trans/dinky cradle in my scx and im wondering what motor you guys are using. I have a losi 55t in it right now and in low gear the torque is there but theres not even enough wheelspeed to clean out my tires. And in high gear theres decent wheelspeed but not enough torque to get up anything. Thinking a holmes 7t puller?

I ran a 19T Brood. Slow and enough torque in low...GREAT wheel speed in second!!

Enough torque to crawl steep objects? And how was the wheel speed in low?

I run a HH 14t puller on 6s and I love it! Awesome low end control and ridiculous torque in 1st and enough wheel speed in 2nd.

I also ran a 45t and started with 35t. The 45t was ok on 4s.

I think a 20t (and above) Crawlmaster on 4s would work great.

EDIT: I have it all documented in my Buxom Melons and now Hera build threads in my Sig. Video too.

Johny-How did that vxl work in there? Bad cogging?
Klabeaume-lol....i bet not.

I forgot to mention im running 2s right now also. Do you think a 35t would work good? I dont want to go brushless because i run in water.

Re: Question for the guys using summit trans

I had it geared rally really low... 13/86 or something.
The VXL was fun for bashing but once I started competing it had to go.

IMHO, 35t on 2s will not have the torque in first or the speed in 2nd.

Im about to start comping but my main rig is my 8ight so i dont want pu ALOT of money into this rig. Johny am i correct that the 14t puller is 380 sized? or is there a 540 one? my main thing is i want to stay running 2s.
