Default PRO-Line F-250 with Honcho Flatbed

I'm a Ford guy a heart and really wanted a Ford truck body for my Honcho, but I also love the look of the stock Honcho back piece. I think it sucks that with the popularity of this truck no one else makes a top you can attach the stock back to, Pro-Line had one but they stopped making it. So at first I made a F-250 body using the Tamiya hard body looks great but man is it top heavy.

So I thought why not take the Pro-Line 2008 F-250 body part #3252-00 cut the bed off and try that, here's how it turned out and the weight difference is huge!!!!

Sweet how did you make the headlight buckets? they look cleaner than mine.

That's a nice f250 you got there. I was after the same idea except I used a raptor cab and grafted the honcho bed to it. I really like your light set up too.

I had an old F-250 body from my E-Revo I cut out the headlights then made two buckets out of 2.0mm Styrene and spent a lot of time trimming it to fit just right then used GOOP to hold them in place.

Looks great Ive been wanting to see a ford body with honcho cage. It would be great if there where more full back bodies. I may have to give it a shot now that ive seen it.

Before I made this one I sent Pro-Line an e-mail asking them if they are going to release any new bodies for the Honcho and I also sent them a picture of the hard body version I made, They said they had forward on to product development maybe I should send them a pic of this one, it would fit better if it was just a Super cab the Crew cab requires you to move the front body posts forward and drill the rear holes closer to the gas tank.

Cool thanks looks good. I don't know if you saw mine. I might need to add more lights to mine looks good with multiple lights in there.

Very cool looking truck. I want to do a Chevy body with the rails out back. Might have to make that my next project.

I firmly believe if Pro-Line was to make a extended cab Ford, Chevy, and Dodge truck bodies like the stock Honcho front they would sell like crazy...

We should all start emailing PL, they need to make some more optins for the Honcho or Dingo. They would certainly sell good

We held a Scale Tough Truck Comp. at our local R/C track where we have a small Crawler Coarse my truck with the new body worked good the motor was giving me some grief and the DRIVER needs some work but I still won the HILL CLIMB event, in a day or two I hope to have some action shots but in the mean time I took some outdoor shot before it gets too scuffed up... Here they are.....

As a fellow Ford guy I really like the look. I agree PL should make more truggy bodies for the Honcho chassis.

im surprised that PL hasnt jumped the band wagon and released more bodies with the back-cab like the Honcho bod, so we can just pop on the cage and go rather then try to make our own out of lexan which in most cases turns out to shit anyhow.

It's one I made with a piece of 1/8" x 1/2" aluminum and 5 of the big Axial light buckets, I was using the Pro-Line light bar but I got sick of rolling the truck and breaking off one or two of the buckets and then having to go buy a new light bar, this way I just replace the bucket that broke...
