| Need Custom Aluminum or Steel Bumpers and Sliders!
I have an old Honcho I extended a bit to fit a Tundra HL body on however I can't raise the body down any lower otherwise my 1.9 Pitbulls will rub the fender flares really bad...plus the Pits are very tall so I want the rig sitting a little higher. I raised the stock front Honcho bumper up a bit for now to cover the huge gap between the lower section of the grill and the Honcho bumper but there's still an annoying gap. Now that the front bumper is higher the plastic running boards with the Honcho kit look real goofy especially being so low! I've been looking at RC Armor stuff which might work but does anyone have one installed on a SCX10 based Tundra or even a Hilux? Btw I don't want to install a winch.... |

Here is what I did on my ol' cherokee. Just added another front bumper mount but it looks like your body/bumper gap is a little bigger. Szczerba's Cherokee (Minus some doors) Post #37 |

I'd trim the fenders and get the body down. Once you raise the bumper and sliders up to where they need to be then you'll see the chassis hanging down and that won't look right either. Boatsides would take care of the slider issue but, I'd still go with finding a way to lower the body.
