| Midwest 4WD Tacoma Honcho
Brand new Honcho, done up like a Midwest 4 Wheel Drive shop truck (homage to Bigfoot #1). The truck is stock at the moment, minus the new front cab, Spektrum radio, and removed bumpstops. What tires should I use? I previously used Pitbulls on my old SCX10 and loved them, but I'd kinda like to try an RC4WD offering. The Baja Claw TTC tires any good? I think they look great, and we actually have a full set of 1:1 54'' TTC tires in the shop that we are mounting on a customers truck. Thoughts on that? |

Nice! Always love seeing the Yotas. I run 2.2 Pit Bulls and I love them. I've heard nothing but good things about the Baja Claws, though. Fink |

Put just a bit of front weight on it with wheel weights on the inside of the front rims and on top of the servo and it's a beast. I couldn't believe the inclines it was taking! Still making a decision on tires and wheels. I'm lucky to have a crawler's dream spot about 2 miles from my house. It's a highway spillway that they blasted a couple years ago to make room for an off ramp. |

i run the baja claws on my honcho, they are a good tire once they're broken in and not so stiff. i also have mine cut, siped, and heavily weighted on vented axial beadlocks. i like them because they're the tallest 1.9 and wider contact patch than the boggers, which are another popular tall 1.9. you might also look into the IROKs now that they have a new compound, but they're not quite as tall.

And thanks for the advice on the tires. I'd like to go with the Iroks in the new super soft compound but I'm wondering if I'll see much of a difference over the R35 ripsaws? | |

RPP Hobby sells a Tacoma decal sheet for 6 or 7 bucks. They really dress up the Honcho cab.

I went with the RC4WD Iroks in the new ultra soft compound. The tires should be here tomorrow and I plan on doing a nice write-up on the R35 Ripsaws vs. the Iroks because I know there are many guys with RTR scx10s that would be interested. I'm very happy with the Ripsaws so I'll be hard on the Iroks. |

I flat irons on one rig and tsl's on the other. Both work well with my rigs.

Yay for the UPS man! Got em' weighted and mounted. My initial impressions of these tires - SICK!! The compound feels ultra sticky and scale look is off the charts. Going to mount them up tonight. I'll post impressions and pics later. |

I'll write up a more detailed review later, but holy sh*t these new tires are BOSS! In addition to looking extremely scale and cool, they grip like a mf'er. Those side lugs are awesome. This new compound from RC4WD is a total winner. Here is a short youtube video I shot tonight in a creek running in water and on slick rocks. As you can see, the IROKs took care of everything without breaking a sweat! |

Here are some more detailed impressions of the IROK tires if anyone is interested. My review: Upgrading SCX10 from R35 Ripsaw to RC4WD X2-SS IROK |
