| Dingo body posts different mounting idea
I wanted to mount my body with the posts but I didn't want the clips on top. My batteries sit on the side rails so I needed another idea. I searched for different ways and I didn't see what I came up with. So here's my first attempted: I mounted the post to the rear of the bumper posts. I found body post mounts on the parts tree so I could mount them horizontally. Then I found rolling over the posts twisted or pivot on the screw. So I came up with this idea: Keeps them from moving sideways and I can also remove the bumpers if I want to change the look. Last edited by juswin24; 08-05-2012 at 07:27 PM. |

Here's a sneak peek of body with clips installed. I plan on starting a build thread. I just haven't the time to upload all my photos for the build. I will say it has been durable so far. I've been hill climbing and have rolled it a lot! It's rolled 10 to 12 feet down the hill half a dozen times or more. Last edited by juswin24; 08-05-2012 at 08:20 PM. |

Scary... im surprised that hasnt ripped the body. But just in case... reinforce that part of your body with some extra lexan, or thin metal.

| Re: Dingo body posts different mounting idea Thanks for the idea! That was my concern too. Is it sho-goo that I can use to glue extra layer on? I do have a coat of paint on the inside.

I also can always go to original mounting if this does have flaws. I really don't want a shelf queen. "KING of DIRT" is what I expect!

Shoe-goo is the best, I use it all the time for these types of applications. Will work just fine, paint or no paint. Besides, the body and reinforcement are held in place with the posts and clips. You won't have any problems

I used shoe goo on a proline body that was painted and dirty. I brushed some of the dirt off and then goo'ed it all together. came out very well and good and strong.

| Re: Dingo body posts different mounting idea I was thinking today that it also would work well with the Velcro plates I've seen installed to hold bodies on. Velcro on top mounts and these down low and out of the way. I'm glad you might be able to use it.

| Re: Dingo body posts different mounting idea I'm using velcro up front and the posts in the back but I'm doing some changes that will make getting to the rear posts extremely difficult..so I'll probably go velcro front/back with some posts in the rear.
