Default more steering?

whats the best way to get more steering out of my honcho?I have the cv's in the ront axle and tried the axial hi steer knuckles but the steering linkage hit the frame at full compression plus the turn in angle between the two fr tires is incorrect (the outter tire turns in more)

A guy in a group I scale with just put the high steer knuckles on his dingo and had no issues with his! It actually seemed to work pretty good! Look for wheelstoo in the Georgia forums maybe he can tell you how he set his up!

How to do the narrow XR10 mod to Axial axles

That's the best way to get 50* or more steering.

You can also get high steer/zero ackerman knuckles cvds or the VP 8* chubs and kknuckles to get more steering than stock.

Also adding over drive gears to the front or under drive to the rear or better yet do both front and rear will get you better turning.

Still overall the best mod is the one posted above. I have it on one of my rigs and it improved steering significantly.

^i agree, the c-hubs combined with the knuckles, both axial aluminum will give you more steering capabilities, however you really need a radio with steering limit adjustment to reap full capabilities

Mine will hit drag link at full compression. But I dont think that is a real problem.I added a couple mm spacer to tie rod to center wheels, than centered servo horn add adjusted epa's.All good plus got almost 3 feet tighter turn.

The high clearance links will require that you make a longer tie rod. You'd rather have a little toe-out than toe-in as far as steering goes.

I've been wondering the same thing a while for mine. Guess I will put some time into it this weekend.

this is probably the best thing for a RTR rig. you'll NEVER be able to adjust this with a stock tx even if you do all the other mods that give you the capability to steer more.

Just so i don't disappoint Shinjari by not chiming in....i have to say the biggest steering mod that i have made so far is 4ws (for wheel steering)!

XR mod is probably the way to go though

I put Wraith C-hubs and knuckles on my Dingo. My steering increased by a lot.

As a builder, my SCX set up of choice is Axial high steer knuckles, Axial CVD's and Hand Bros. CMS. You don't need to worry about full compression, unless your jumping it. Here's one I've built.......you can see how much steering it has

Wow...look how nice the paint once was. Yes R2J is right axial CVD and gunnar pins work great. I've been beating on this rig he built for almost year with no problems. There are other options mentioned above that work well also.

R2J...what color of blue is that?
Are the knuckles SCX/AX or Wraith/XR? Steering looks fantastic!

Thanks man...i was just coming back to say that i looked up your build and found it.
Do you get more/better steering from the axial high steer knuckles...than say, VP's?

To be honest, i didnt see much difference from stock to VP highsteer. But the XR mod has been great for me. quite a bit more more but worth it in my opinion.
