Default Chassis mount dual servo for steering and winch.

I am wondering if anyone has mounted two servos to the front of the chassis one for steering and the other a winch. Does anyone make a kit for this or what it have to be built my self. If you are running this setup and don't mind post some pics.

Thanks

I have seen this done but nothing comes to mind off the top of my head to show you as an example. Try this section, you will be more likely to get answers there - RCCrawler General Tech - Newbie General at RCCrawler.com

a vendor (maybe bowtie) makes a battery tray with a mount for a servo winch.

try a search; maybe use "servo winch" as your keywords.

Here's one example I found.

I did mine simialr to Bowties, but wanted my battery up front. Obviously if you run a large battery this wont work. The delrin plate is t shaped towards the tranny. The line is routed thru some break line to fairlead.

It would be nice if Hand Bros made a mount for the other side for a servo winch.
I plan on eventually mounting a servo winch up front too, but I think I will just make a mount from a piece of aluminum L bracket. I'm guessing that should be strong enough.

Just use flat stock and the extra servo mounts in kit. L metal isnt necessary.

.120" 6061 aluminum or 1/8" ace hardware aluminum. 18g steel would work but not much to run threads into. Aluminum is a better choice I think.

I've seen threads using the stock axle servo mount modified for a CMS. I'm sure that could be turned to the other side for a winch. Again try a search using CMS as your keyword.

That's how my SCX is set-up. I thought about putting another servo plate on the other chassis rail and doing a similar setup for a servo winch. I'm still running my 3Racing winch, but if I ever blow it up, I'll try and mount the servo winch to the chassis...
