Default My new to me SCX10

Well i started out with a Tamiya Toyota Hilux HighLift, Met LonleyCreeper at the LHS and he started the Project Flexy Highlift, he did an awsome job on it, it perform really well even with the extreme stuff... But to tell the truth i really wanted a SCX10 Honcho. Well, he had one and decided to trade strait across, and now this is my first build with a stock SCX10 Honcho. Next week i'll will be ordering a replacement body and rear cage, hopefully the week after i will be installing a new Receiver, Speed Control and a new Motor...Not sure yet if i want a Brushed or a Brushless Motor Crawler system for it yet. But here is what i get to start with...

The body is a temerary till i get the Honcho for it

Get the traxxas vxl3s esc from (dollarhobbyz.com. only $86 there), then a tacon motor of your choosing. Then, to get free shipping, a flysky fsgt3b with an extra reciver. That should get you around your budget, with all of your electronics.

Honestly I would stay away from the traxxas VXL ESC. First, it has a lot of issues and problems like the power button sticking and not working properly. Second its not programmable, no drag brake at all. (Thats the biggest negative)

If you are going BRUSHED get a Holmes Hobbies BR-XL Waterproof ESC (108 dollars) Awesome for brushed motors. (Also has Holmes Hold Drag Brake) Good 35t (35 - 75 dollars) Holmes motor would be great.
If you are going Brushelss there are a few options.
Castle Mamba Max Pro (105 dollars) ..... This ESC will actually run Brushed or Brushless as well as senosred or sensorless and has a TON of programmable features and works great. ( Drag Brake is 213%)
HobbyWing SC8 120amp ESC Waterproof (120 dollars with motor) ..... has a good amount of programmable features as well as drag brake. You can get an ESC and motor Combo for 120 dollars on Ebay. ( I have an SC8 ESC in my Slash 4x4 and works great with no issues)

well i got my new body, body mounts, rock sliders, and front bumper. All i have to do now is rip it back apart and start painting

One thing i need to fix... As i was placing the stickers in the windows i noticed i must have gottin a Friday or Monday body set cuz the stickers are not the same size as the window it self, So i must fix that before i paint. Oh and i need to get the front plates for the bumper. Then need to get some scale accessories

Like the paint man but seriously. You have to lower your front bumper.
