I like the look of those wheels with the Tacoma sticker front end.

Question Re: First scx10...

Looks good so far.

Few questions:
  1. How do you like those wheels (fit/finish, assembly, hardware)?
  2. Do they hold the bead well?
  3. What about some body off pics? Especially, the interior and how you arranged your electronics relative to the interior.
Thanks.

The wheels fit like crap, but will probably work better with a thin sidewall/bead tire like the mud thrashers or pretty much any rc4wd tire. Other option is to trim the inner ring I think. The bead is still held well but its uneven as it was rushed at work so the tires do wobble. Ive got some Gearhead RC UTE's coming for it.
As far as layout, its the standard RTR layout I've just cut the interior and will be making a floor hump like old full size vans have for the engine. I will get some chassis pics in a few.
For the hell of it I put some 2.2's on earlier and proceeded to destroy my spur gear.

Thanks.

That sucks to hear about those wheels, they had such potential at the price they are. Maybe could use one for the spare tire/wheel.

If you have any patience at all, it's easy to cut it up to fit. I just need to go pick up some thin styrene to finish boxing it in because the thick stuff I have is a PITA to work with.

Finished up the interior, no new wheels yet. Also, some 'bodywork'.

I have the white wheels coming in the mail. Other than needing to use them with an rc4wd tire, are they descent otherwise?

Im still using em and all I did was used thread lock on the screws. They are decent for a plastic wheel. Hex seems pretty strong.
