Default thinking about a scx-10, have questions about high lift f350 body and axles

ive had a high lift and not much other in a crawler. i like the "scale" look and more run the yard and slight climbing. i would like to do something with the f350 tamiya hard body, i have little knowledge or want to create a bunch of new parts. i have thought about the scx-10 is there an easy way to mount the f350 body? i tried searching but didnt find any good pics or how toos. the stock axles stick out from the body correct? what about using high lift axles on the scx10 chassis?

this might be able to hold you over, but i have a few pics of how a Tamiya F350 body looks on an SCX10 chassis with SCX10 axles. this rig has changed a bit and ill get ya some better pics after work tomorrow, but not much has changed so far.. i took the cheap way out and made holes in the body, but some people use magnets, velcro, or even make custom sliders that mount to the rail under the door as sorta boat sides or sliders. here are a few to hold ya over, any other pics you want just let me know and i will try my best.

Here's something to look at: Scx10 going F350?

how many different scx-10 chassis are there? are all the axles the same width? has anyone tried the high lift ones on the scx chassis?

Not sure about high lift axle width. I can tell you that the body fits almost directly onto Dingo kit (and original SCX kit, as EeePee said in link, if you can find one) - NOT HONCHO. If I remember correctly, the rear body mount holes are in the same location SCX vs. Tamiya - you just have to put new holes in the front of the body near the front windshield air intake.

Honcho 12.3 inch wheelbase. Dingo 11.4 inch wheelbase. You want the Dingo for the F-350 body.

Highlift axles are 1/4" narrower than the scx10 axles.

There's only one SCX10 chassis, the wheelbase difference is made up from the links.

Search by my username in the SCX-10 section. I have posted about mounting the F350 body to the scx10 chassis many times and have posted multiple pictures and details about how I mounted mine up. Let me know if you can't find those threads.

Get the "dingo" version of the scx10 as the F350 body fits the wheelbase perfectly. The "Honcho" version will require you to shorten the wheelbase in order for the wheelbase to line up. Might as well save yourself the trouble.
