Scale shocks

Does anybody know if the scale 90mm shocks (in silver) are any good. I think it was $30.00 a pair. Is it the same ones on the TF2? Thanks for looking "thumbsup"

Do you mean these?

If so, in my opinion, i would say yes. but the soft springs are way to soft for a normal to heavy scaler. Maybe good for a droop set up or something. They do also sell some tougher springs that are decent and help correct this for the most part.

Yes those. Or should I get like the regular shocks, The ones that don't say soft springs?

Thats your call. I got the tougher springs, which if you have some similar in size you wouldnt have to buy extras and they seem to work decent, but im actually using a spring and shock set up in the rear which gives me more stability.

To give you a more direct answer, for the money, i would say get another set that will provide better performance.

The TS-02? i have a set that arent being used. I didnt like them as much, they seemed to have a lot more friction than these. Maybe some lube would have fixed it, but im sure others had better experiences with those.

I like the ts-02 myself, use them on my rig and not much friction at all. Also I think they handle more realistic to a 1.1 but I gotta a heavy rig...around 10lbs so I'm also using the stiffer springs, on a lighter rig, they would be too bouncy IMO. However, they don't have much travel which I'm ok with cuz a road worthy 1.1 wouldn't flex as much as a crawler....plus I like the challenge of taking a line a wraith could easily do:D

Here's a pic of a recent outing showing the flex of these shocks...I'm running four link rear and three link front using stock scx10 shock hoops in original frame mount holes.
Suspension at full flex..

Yeah, someone just told me that in a recent post a min ago of a different pic...I think tapatalk has something to do with it as I'm not very bright about computer stuff or even smartphones

I had those on my rig and yes they are bit soft, however I ran leaf front and rear with stiffer springs cuz my rig was heavy. So like the other guys said, run stiffer springs unless yer going for a droop setup
