48 to 32 pitch spur gear i have the 48p 87 tooth sour gear but want to go 32p what is the same size gear in 32p or how many teeth it would be ideal to either keep the same diameter or smaller less teeth because of my drive shaft clearance thanks |
Re: 48 to 32 pitch spur gear How come you want to change pitch? When I raced RC's in the 90's we all went the other way. 32 to 48p. Just curious. Thanks. |
Re: 48 to 32 pitch spur gear You can always go to an extended output to go bigger on the spur. C.I. 4340 steel; 5mm - Axial Trans Output Pair http://www.crawlerinnovations.com/im...4%20mobile.jpg Otherwise a 54t 32p spur clears mips "thumbsup" |
Re: 48 to 32 pitch spur gear i will be running a motor with 5mm shaft and it is easier to find 5mm bore pinions in 32p than 48p and thanks for the gear size |

Re: 48 to 32 pitch spur gear Alot of guys runnning 3s and above with powerful motors etc are also going over the 32p gearing for added strength... Have a look at These Charts it should help ya get the same ratio.. Also im pretty sure to go from 48p to 32p you just divide by 1.5 So it would be 87 divided by 1.5 = 58t |
