I figured it was time for a scale class 2 truck. I got offered a deal I couldn't refuse on a nice second hand Honcho, my CC01 is pretty much finished so it was time for a new project anyway. Good thing I put that specs list right up the top then hey I have no idea what brand the wheels are I'm sorry, they came in totally unmarked packaging from my local hobby shop, all they said was they were a "cheapy" brand. That being said the quality is awesome and they are HEAVY considering I've got no extra wheel weights installed. I bought them from OzRC. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'll be moving the battery to behind the front shock hoops tonight, so I'll get some chassis pics up too |

How's the quality of the wheels? Are they really cheesy?

| Re: SCX10 Honchosaurus Surprisingly good quality, I've had them apart a few times already and they've mounted up perfectly each time. I installed weights in the wheels last night, 60g in each front and 40g in each rear, making the whole wheel and tyre weigh 240g on each front and 220g on each rear. Tyres are officially squashed :P Also moved the battery to a much lower location, and moved the electronics to the batteries old spot. Side hilling should be improved quite a bit. And finally I installed some side skids from my mates CC01, they're a Junfac part but sit way too low on his CC01 chassis, suits me well |

Damn those fronts really are squashed! I like the side bars too, much nicer looking than the black plastic ones and should mean way less hangups.

Great tire choice. They're probably my favorite LOOKING tires on the market. And they perform really well too. Have fun with that build man. My favorite mod on stock honchos is to raise the bumper about 3/4". Gives the bumper more clearance and makes it allign better with the bottom of the honcho grill. A new RC4WD Stubby front bumper solved my issue hehe. I'm impressed at the travel it's got just with cut bump stops and wheel weights now, beats the hell out of my cc01 |

Installed Axial alloy C-Hubs, Axial CVD's, and MIP driveshafts this arvo. I've also got some Axial high clearance knuckles for when my CMS kit arrives.

Went for a drive at a place called Cedar Creek. My mates CC01 dropped a tailshaft within 5 minutes of arriving, so he drove my blue CC01 while I piloted the honcho. Awesome terrain! |

I don't sorry but I can describe it fairly well. Height is nearly identical, maybe 1mm advantage to the flat irons, same story with width. However the TSL's taper more around the edge and feel softer. The flat irons have a very square profile with a sharp edge. In terms of performance I do prefer the TSL's but it's really not much of a difference, they bag a little bit more around the rocks and seem to grip a little bit better after being wet. I was actually a bit annoyed because my mate driving my cc01 got up every single run I attempted yesterday, I wanted my honcho to lay the smackdown but the little CC is a friggin' trooper! |
