No more stripped 48p gears and gives you a bit more room if your using a 3d interior.

No more spending money on little spur gears. It also changed the sound, makes it sound like it has more a$$ I highly reccomend 32p

Pretty good for general crawling but I've got a 18t pinion for G6 type runs. I'm also running a 35t brood motor, but you'll have more wheel speed from a lower turn motor like 20-27t.

thanks for the good info on this, i took the plunge on sat and bought the parts, running 9 tooth on pinion and 54 spur of course. 21.5 novac is not bad on speed but i have noticed some other new issues with this set up. im not to sure if its just working better or what but i came off of a 14 tooth and 87 48 pitch so close to the same ratio... i set slipper to where i normally set it and it slipped 7 times tonight. cant figure it out. i was on greasy ground too. i cant see raising the ratio up any more will help at all. any info will help out alot

Slippers do wear and slipper springs do weaken a bit with use. Plus, the more they slip, the worse they get. Crank it down a bit more or try another slipper pad.

Nope, but I'm sure it will work fine with the proper pinion. I use 56T, personally, as it fits under the tranny cover. The 58T might as well...can't say for sure.

I use a 60t. I don't have a spur cover though I that's your concern. I also don't run a slipper so it has more Clearance with the driveshaft

new pads are on and set nut is tight and backed off only a quarter turn and im still slipping today... tires have changed today as well. went form weighted 1.9 cut boggers to 1.9 un weighted rocklox's and same issue again. i guess tomorrows adventure is tighten slipper all the way and see how the robinson tranny gears hold up... see a new spur gear in the near future

so i found my issue tonigh with my slipping with the new clutch and gear set. i did not think in 1000 years i would ever see the clutch tension spring actually be week.(could be compressed by hand) after all this messing around i would recommend this mod to any one. the 32 pitch even sounds good imo. now just to play with the ratio's...

I found a 58t(32 pitch). I put it side by side with the stock 87t(48 pitch) and the 58t looks bigger. I dont think it'll work on mine because with the 87t, it is already really really close to the driveshaft.

solitaire, what pinion are you using with the 56t?

Thanks guys
