Default Electronics problems :(

Well I was playing with my SCX10 around a small creek no deeper the the wheel and after a while my SCX10 started glitching and only turning and not moving forwards or backwards. A week later I tried again and it worked fine. Now when I turn it not much happens, I can turn the wheels and the lights turn on but the ESC does not beep like it used to. The electronics are all stock rtr ones but I have waterproofed them using plastidip. Have I killed my ESC?

Do you have another set of electronics to try. Hook your current ESC into a new receiver and see if that helps. If that doesn't work it will help narrow down the issue. Then try to hook a different ESC into your rig and see if everything works.

Also try to rebind and re calibrate your ESC, receiver and radio. Might work. Good luck

check your motor wires , may or may not be it.

I just recenty had to replace the wires and resolder the connections on the motor itself.
They were real brittle and one connection was only on by a few strands of wire. (under the shrink tubing)

also had a bad on/off switch from day two of my rtr , and the lipo cutoff was set, im using niMh.

good luck

X2 and 3

I have two scx10's and had this happen to both of mine. mine never seen water or anything and both times it was the wires on the motor itself.
