cant decide on a body

im about to buy an axial scx10. but i cant decide what body i should put on it. any suggestions for a body?

how much work do you want to put in?? another lexan body would be easy, maybe a wheelbase adjustment and youre done. hardbody may be a little different.

Dont really want to put alot of worl into it because i barely have time with school. I was thinking a lexan body because its cheaper than a hard body. I just cant decide what body i should get

I was just recently doing this same thing with my wife as we are getting her an axial for xmas this year and starting to plan early. So I asked her what kind of truck she wanted to build since you can make just about anything. Of course she hadnt thought about it and didnt know where to start. First thing... pick a brand you like, typical choices being

Chevy
Ford
Dodge (a little harder to find)
Jeep
Toyota (if you stick with the Honcho body for lexan, otherwise, its hardbodies for the most part)

Then think about what look are you after... do you want a late model truck, or something of an earlier era? I myself have a 1972 Chevy C10 body on mine. I plan on picking up a Clodbuster body for that mid 80's look later on. I also wouldnt mind a 2 door Jeep TJ either.

Another good place to look around for inspiration is the picture thread thats stickied at the top of this section. Good luck, I know it can sometimes be hard to figure out what you want to do with out spending a bunch of money trying out different ideas.

i think i've narrowed it down to an hpi ford bronco body. i just googled pictures of scale crawlers and picked out the one i thought looked the coolest.

i pretty much like all of the bodies i see. and i just couldnt pick one. if i had a crap ton of cash i would buy them all

ProLine CGR Bronco on the SCX-10 gets my vote if you like Broncos. It has a moulded interior and room for scale stuff and a spare tire. It's probably the most scale you can get with doing very little work.

not sure who's this is, just a lifted pic off the net. Notice the bumper is even still stock, and it looks pretty good!

I have been rocking a blazer body since I got my dingo rolling painted em both and the blazer was just to perfect of a look! But hey what ever peaks your fancy bud lol
