creepin dingo

heres a few updates on one of my new projects,
an axial scx10 dingo i got through a trade:)
ive been wanting one of these platforms for awhile now and am completely stoked on the one i came across.
as of now it has an axial ae-2 esc, a brushed axial 27t, i intsalled some traxxas halfshafts i got from my LHS and they work almost perfect, it originally had the 1.9 ripsaws on it but i replaced them with the 2.2 pitbulls off my LNC and they work like a charm:mrgreen:

can you say.. flex? haha :ror:

blazer body mounted

list of some parts to come:
Gmade scale shocks
rc4wd white steelies
junfac steel driveshafts
new 27t
might convert my receiver from the axial A-3 to a team associated XP3-ss but still debating
also lookin into some t-rex 60 axles but we'll see8)

anyways, thanks for takin a look, just figured id share my new rig
have a good one fellas!

Re: creepin dingo

finally got me some g made ts01 shocks n cant wait to put em on

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/ew.jpg

for the hell of it today tho i went ahead and put back on the 1.9s just to see how the stance/ability is and i must say it did quite well. i also mocked up the K5 body up to it and was hoping i could get some opinions on whether i should go with the 1.9s or stick with the 2.2s?

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/ds.jpg

im diggin the way it looks and stands but i dont want to feel like i spent $50 for no reason on the 2.2 pitbulls at the same time haha. more opinions from more experienced crawlers tho would help me push along to the right decisions "thumbsup"

SP225 10-20-2012 07:22 AM

I like the 1.9s better. They look more scale on the K5. But save the 2.2s for another body, like maybe the 2dr Wrangler JK, it has bigger fenders. That's what I did. I have lots of bodies and tires to switch it up once in a while.

Re: creepin dingo

Yeah see that's why I was likin em too, 1.9s just look way more scale than the 2.2s. Thanks for the input man, now I don't feel as bad about leaving the 2.2s off haha. Will post more pics soon after the bodies mounted n the wheels are weighted "thumbsup"

Re: creepin dingo

been awhile since ive done an update on this thing so heres what ive done so far and how she sits all nice and purty 8)

big thanks to a2hill btw for the great deal i got on these flatirons"thumbsup"

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...life/oiukm.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...rklife/uig.jpg

anyways ive always liked the truggy look and finally figured out a way to use the 07 chevy body i had for this so heres some of the process:

bed n tailgate cut out
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...rklife/poi.jpg

rear panels cut
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/ad.jpg

had to make little cuts in the back windshield then slid zipties through em so i can have more support at the rear of the body and also so my whole body can lift up like a hood
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/aw.jpg

here she is all finished up"thumbsup"
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/aq.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...orklife/as.jpg

i should have actual truggy tubing here soon and the interior should be done by tonight 8) thank you for looking, i gotta get my ass to work now haha
