Are you talking about the ring, pinion, locker, bearings, and WB8 driveshafts? My understanding is those are all the same parts for both rigs. Overdrive, underdrive, heavy duty, stock gears -- all the same part number for both rigs. About the only difference is the axles themselves and the axle housings, c-hubs and knuckles. No need to change anything at the tranny. WB8 driveshafts mount the same as old-style stock driveshafts; just use grub screws instead of the long pin style grub at the tranny. Everything should be a direct fit.

^^that long grub is what im worried about i like the style of pin i have another thread about my headaches with the dual grub screw style so if everythings the same, can i just swap the pinion to have the set screw hole through it, can i just use one of the dual set screws if its still m3 in the trans side so i wont have to swap transmissions? |

I'm using stampede half shafts and hardened steel yolks with double set screws I'm guessing the shaft side will slide through the other threaded end, or I can dremel em out a tad ![]() Sent From Outerspace Using my HTC-Freeze Ray Gun |

im sure the scx10 driveshafts dont work, as the steel universal doesnt push up against the bearing enough, whereas it bounces around moving the pinion away from the ring gear.

Why would the pinion bounce around? Isn't that the entire point of the bearings? And the traxxas yolks press right up against the bearing on the pinion shaft side Sent From Outerspace Using my HTC-Freeze Ray Gun |
