| Compare to Wraith
Im looking to build a SCX10 as a second rig. I currently have a Wraith with a Holmes 27T torquemaster Expert with 32p 14/56 gearing 4.00:1. I love the speed and torque it has for my type of trail driving on 6 cell NiMH. What motor would be close to the same performance with a kit Dingo which I belive comes with 48p 14/87 gearing? 27t? or 35T and up the gearing? Trying to gather the parts now.

| Re: Compare to Wraith gearing calculator Since the drivetrain of the two rigs is nearly identical, why not just run the exact same gearing setup in the scx if that's what you want? Spur gears can easily be swapped out. 27t is popular for a HH motor, but so is 35t with either stock or slightly different gears - both can be fast with good torque at low speed, the 35t with slightly more torque of course. ultimately this all really comes down to what type if battery you plan to run. Staying with the nimh battery is a BIG difference from 3s wheel speed |

Cool. I didn't know that there was such a Calculator. I'll have to play around with it and see what combo I come up with. Thanks!
