Axle gear noise

Does anybody else have, or experienced noise coming from the gear set in the axle? I just built my SCX10 kit, and in the rear axle there seems to be a rough spot or something on the ring gear because it clicks and then it's fine for the rest of the revolution. Both pinion bearings are seated as far as they can go, and the mesh is good, and it has lots of grease for it.

I had the same exact problem after I built my dingo. I tore the axle back down, pulled everything put (including bearings) looking for something wrong - rebuilt it and it was (and still is) fine after that. Best guess is that something was just slightly mis-aligned somehow? /shrug
But, it worked for me - so maybe just pull it all apart and rebuild it - maybe the gremlin falls out when you do that... ;-)

Check to see that all of the screws that holds the ring gear to the carrier are seated properly, I had a simmilar noise with some WK diffs and one screw wasn't seated and was rubbing one the housing.

I'll take a look at it tomorrow. What I'm thinking is I might not have snugged down all the bolts holding the diff case to the ring gear, since it only makes the noise on a certain point in the revolution.

Just noticed your post after posting mine, that's what I'm thinking too.
