I can also just swap the driveshaft around and should have plenty of room on that side too. I was going to turn the trans too and see how that looked.
You talking about vertically mounting the servo? I was going to mess with the steering setup tomorrow since I am waiting on that lower chassis now.

And GCM makes a simple rear 4 link mount for the ax10 rear axle. Should make flipping the axle easier. Uses the stock bolts.
Ya, mount the servo similar to the way the CMS from Hand Brother's mounts it.

Currently I have the standard SCX10 Axle truss to mount the upper links, but not screwed into the tube part of the axle.

Steering mock up round two.

Cut up and used an old AX10 battery plate for the vertical mount.

Swapped the skid/VP Transmission to the other side.

Think this setup might work a little better. Servo drag link length will need to be adjusted later.

looks like you are going to have a hard time turning left. try to rotate your servo horn about 115 degrees clockwise so that it points out from the chassis. otherwise it looks great.

it steers bind free as its mocked up now. With no loss of throw or the steering arm getting straight with the drag link.

the steering drag link and servo arm angle are key to getting it right.

Once I get the lower skid on and the upgraded aluminum steering rack on, I will do the fine tuning.
Think this setup is going to work out.

Thanks.

Waiting on parts so I put on some non-slw-modded rear axial 1.9's to bring the rear track width closer to the front.
Front with tires is 8 3/4"
Rear with tires is 8 7/8"

Also turned the rear axle 180 degrees to make it turn the same as front. Axial 4-link just mounted with 2 bolts for now. I can drill the rear beef tubes and mount the outsides of the 4 link mount.

Looking great man. I'm loving all these IFS/Solid axle builds. I thought your Exo/Wraith turned out great as well.

Through one of those Mini Trophy bodies on here and you got something great!

I took the exo/wraith idea from JasonInAugusta and I am using monkeyracer's SCX IFS build for the front end on this build.
Plan is to use the Mini Trophy Truck body. Easily tucks the front tires. Honcho tucks tire but is a little narrower than the Mini Trophy.

Just the beginning of it.

Got bored today and cobbled it together ALL TEMPORARY.
Found the perfect aluminum bracket in the parts bin to hold the steering rack to the IFS for the quick test run.

Got a full 2200mah pack through it. Dog bones fell out a couple times but I just shimmed them with orings and limited the steering throw a little bit.
Climbs and handles really well.

Couple poser shots while crawling.

Right now, the steering is limited by the radio by about 40% or so. The dog bones fall out if I move the travel past that point..

Universals will be here in the next couple days. When those are install I should be have plenty of steering throw.

But it steers decent right now with the limiting.

Talking about IFS'ing the rear of the truck?

Had shoulder surgery on my left shoulder Wednesday but up and around today and got some work done.

Got in a order of parts from AsiaTee's. Got here in 3 business days but they forgot to include the Aluminum steering rack .
They shipped one out today but it's going to be 5-10 business days for it to get here.

Mandatory grinding on the knuckle and lower arm for increased droop.
I don't like the one upper turnbuckle. That will need to be beefed up.
Steering is better with universals. Geometry will need to be tweaked on the steering.

Once my shoulder heals, I will be making a trip to Rootar's for some front bumper/skid and cage work.

RS4 chassis was bought for alignment hole references. It will get hacked or just used as a template.

Thanks.
I've got build pictures for that too. Just didn't think folks wanted to see stitches and whatnot.

looks good, my asiatees order should be here soon, but only ordered arms. With the AL arms, I think you can get rid of the little brace that you ground back a little. I am probably going to do that with the arms on my IFS. Even with shoulder surgery, you are getting more done than I am with mine.

I went ahead and ordered most of the hop ups since they were coming from Hong Kong. They forgot the steering rack but it was shipped out yesterday.

I could have probably ground a little more off the cross brace but wanted to leave some of it. Don't trust that aluminum! The end of the AL arms (out by the knuckles) are only a few mm thick, hince me wanting to keep a little of the cross brace I grinded on.

I had surgery Wednesday. They took out 3/16" of my clavical and then then scoped around my AC joint. My doctor told me to get out of the sling in 24 hours and take the bandages off and start moving it around in 48 hours. This build is part of my therapy.

Truck is boxed up and heading up the road a couple hours to get front bumper, sliders and rear tube bed.
