Kinda debating that. Not sure if I will like it or not. Front end is based off first picture.
If I paint the skid black, then I think holes would be ok. Second picture.
Your right about the mount screws. I have tons of 2mm screws that could be drill/tapped/expoy'd in place.

Paint theme is still in debate too.

If I paint it a "racing theme" then it might clash whilst crawling on the rocks.

Maybe a simple one or two color theme would best suit it, like a weekend rock crawler rig.

This thing looks like it should be desert tan with flat black accents. This thing is nice, Ross did some dang nice tube work on it and it seemed to work fairly well on Saturday.

..afraid it would clash with your clothes and the rocks you mean..

flat tan with a black skid with holes is exactly what I PERSONALLY would do if it were MY rig haha! but, to each his own, right?

Leaning to towards the single flat color with black accents.

You guys and your desert tans. I'll look over some drab color pallets.

and just placed an Order for:

Mamba Max Pro
Tekin 13.5 Motor
Tekin 13mm Torque Rotor for the 13.5

...

I don't know how you would put holes in the skid with the bracing the way it is. I wouldn't have put them there if you wanted holes.

Awesome build!! But if you were trying to go for a trail rig then the rally cross/desert baja prerunner side came out especially with the skid, cage, and roll bar. I personally think it looks great as a desert prerunner trophy truck!!

Holes are undecided.

Thanks. It will probably be a mix of the two. Cause it crawls pretty good but it will have some horsepower under the hood too. And planning on an Exo rear light bar on.

Ordered up some more goodies but will be a week or so before updates.

Scheme noted.

Speaking of paint, I couldn't take it any longer and primed over that other paint.
This will not be the final color. I have another mini trophy body coming in that will get the more racing theme painted on it.

Dropping the truck back off to Rootar to finish up some of the rear bed area while I'm I'm California.

Thanks. More updates to come in the next week or so. I can't wait to drop the Mamba Max Pro and Tekin 13.5 in it.
Dinky RC Fuel Cell and Dinky RC Interior are on the way. as well as proline shocks.
Have another mini trophy truck body heading to BC Paints! compound for a racing theme paint job.

Staring at this rig the last day and I got an idea to get the battery lower. I am excite.

Made a small plate for the rx and MMP.

Got a Mamba Max Pro and a Tekin 13.5 Redline from Holmes Hobbies

Also got an interior and fuel cell from Dinky R/C

And some proline shocks.

Sent a new HPI Trophy Truck body off to BC paints!, custom lexan works

More to come soon.
