Sets two and three of universals came in a few days ago.

Couple random picture from Bald Knob Lake, AR. Too busy driving to take many pictures. Should have taken some video. This motor/esc combo is the best!

Swapped to some different beadlocks (Older Eritex's) for the rok lox's. Did did some wheel trading with Colby. Painted the 5th spare one white.
Rok Lox's still seem a little tall for this truck but the change in chassis clearance is noticed.

BC Paints! is in the process of painting up a new body for this rig as well.

Same as Axial stock gears 38/13.

See post #17. HPI diff is same as Axial.
Szczerba's IFS SCX Build

I am running 43/13 HD's up front and 36/14 HDs out back.

Build is moving along slowing. Debating on interior setup now.

Yep.

Got a Gearhead RC rear 4 link mount.
Ordered some MIP front CVDs. I was hoping they were going to be long enough it looks like they are 2-4 mm too short.
MIP on left GCM on right. Just short enough to to not work.

Beat on the truck pretty good today and whooped up on the outputs and $12 universals. Full speed hill climbin'.
These were stock outputs.

Broke out the welder today since I don't have any replacement front output drives laying around.

The back half was not really setup to continue the cage on the rest of the truck. So making the cab portion of this is not going to be 100% geometrically accurate. But hey, none of my builds are 100% accurate anything

Still some work left to do. I ran out of dremel sanding drums earlier.
In the future: Roof supports, door supports and tying the cage into the front shock hoops or somewhere up front there. And a light bar mount

Si, Si. Mas Updatoes.

Made a super simple tube bender from square stock, solid rod and a door roller from the hardware store. Two different rollers fit it.

Will tie the front into the shock towers next.

Thanks.

3/16" Tube using a 80amp FLux Wire Welder. I am getting better.

I think I added too much cage and might not be able to get the transmission out easily.

Plan on tying the cab to the front shock tower too.

If I can't keep front universals in this rig from breaking all the time, I am going to put a solid axle up front.

Thanks. Just wait until you see the body that BC Paints! is doing for me. It's going to really set this truck off. Some sort of interior to come in the future.

Truck is now 7lbs 4oz after adding the front part of the cage. I used 3/16 Tube.

Funny you mentioned the weight. I was scanning through the pics and was thinking this thing has got to be approaching 9 lbs. With all that steel, 7 lbs an excellent weight.
