I mirrored mine but eventually put it back to factory. With the front and rear 4 links I used there really was not much if any difference.

If you have the new honcho with the spur gear cover it's not the same as the old guide, and it's also not that simple. You have to make spacers for where the spur cover would go I believe.

There is a transmission spacer on the parts tree (a relic from the older versions of the kit) that is not used when you use the gear cover and cover plate. If you look at the older versions of SCX10 instructions on the website, you will see which piece I mean. In the original kit, it was a grey aluminum stepped spacer. The plastic version is on the parts tree and is not used in the build. If you got RTR, I am not sure if the spacer is with the parts...?

There are also the three 6-7mm 'shims' and they are also on the parts tree and are not used in versions with the gear cover. If you have the SCX10 kit (not RTR), you will have all the parts if you saved what was not used in the build.

If you have the spur gear cover, you'll need to do away with it and go with the spacers. Easiest way to remember is that the 'axial' on the motor plate needs to face the trans, not outwards.

Keep in mind there are alot of situations that the mirrored trans can help, least of which is flat ground throttle punch torque twist.
