| My second cage/buggy build. ***Picture intensive***
I am already tired of my first build. This weekend I started this one. I wanted it to look like a southern buggy, but not copy one in particular. I did not want to attempt to build a true buggy, so I just built it off the scx10 frame. I cut the frame 1" in the front and 1/2" in the back. Started with this body. Not much left of the body Not done yet. Just want to see it mounted on the frame. Not sure what color I am going to paint the cage. Not sure if I am going to make any panels. I am open to thoughts and suggestions. |

Good looking start. Are you planning to keep building on to the tube work and doing away with the stock frame? . |

I added a few more short pieces of tube to improve the look. Then I spent 3 HOURS sanding!!! That part of the build SUCKED! Now its ready for paint. I tested a small piece. What do y'all think? |

Got a the paint done and got my 2.2s on! Can't wait to try it out. I think I am going to need more weight on the front axle. |

I like it with minimal body panels. You can show off your hard work better that way too. Great color choice! |

Thanks for the compliments guys!! This was a fun build. Love the way it turned out. Just made it the garage. Using a $4 brake line bender and random other tools I have had for years. I would like to do something. Not sure what to be honest. Might do one panel per side. Just on the bottom half of the door. But I would like to cover the electronics and motor maybe battery too. |
