you guys think you're the first to wish your hobby/toy came "fully modded and competition ready"?!?!?
Talk to anybody who races ANY TYPE OF MACHINE and they'll tell you it's just the way it is. A manufacture can't satisfy everybody. If axial came out with a full comp ready rig people would whine and complain that it came with the wrong ESC, or the wrong knuckles, or the wrong _______...

I used to race intermediate/pro motocross on ATV's. We complained that our $7000 yamaha YFZ 450's or Suzuki LT-R450's didn't come with full long travel suspension, stick compound tires, engine mapping, 3 angle valve seats, chassis trusses, high performance clutches, cams, 13.5:1 compression pistons, and non-restrictive exhausts. After we were done making the ATV's truly national capable machines we were into them $18,000+!!!! Stop whining people. You dont know how good we have it in this hobby because trust me it can be much worse.

I'd like to see these whiney babies take a time machine back 6 years and try this hobby then. maybe THEN they'll appreciate axial and their "crappy" products.

I'm new to crawling and RC in general. I bought a Wraith Kit in October as a winter project. No RTR, a kit because I like to assemble things.

Ill say from the start I was expecting a box of plastic that was of average quality and 25% of it wouldn't fit. It wasn't that at all. I was more than happy how well everything went together for a mass produced product. Ill definitely buy another Axial product in kit form again.

RTRs are just like 1:1 vehicles on a dealers lot. A Jeep Rubicon is a very capable vehicle from the start, however there is a lot of room for improvement. Which is where the aftermarket comes in.

well all i can add to this little debate is that i just got my new RTR 2012 jeep from axial and its great. Of course it needs the obvious upgrades , but for outta the box it's a pretty solid rig. The tires are amazing..they are extremly sticky and soft. i live in canada and it's cold as hell here right now and even at -20 celsius they stay pretty soft and work decent in the snow. I think axial did a good job with this truck for RTR. I have made a few simple and cheap mods now and its a beast. i drive my wraith , the wife drives the jeep and it gets through the same stuff the wraith does for the most part.

Ill continue to purchase Axials horribly made product since Im mature enough to realize they are TOY TRUCKS and can't be bullet proof or perfect out the box for a low cost.
