First time owning scx10 here. Is there a vid on how and what parts are needed to move the battery forward or is it just really that easy?

Look at the axial honcho scx10 instructions on their web site ( the silver truck) and it shows how its installed on the frame. One thing I do when I perform this is to cut the posts to lower the battery as low as possible so that it barely touches the servo at max. Shock compression. Another is I pitch the battery tray holder (which is a plastic frame work lookin thing) and drill through the aluminum plate to mount it rearward of the front of the body. Two sided tape to hold the battery with the factory straps.

Will the top of the new AX90027 fit on the body of the AX90028?

I just picked up my new Axial Jeep Unlimited Rubicon - Kit version from my LHS. Ultimate Hobbies has 4 of them when I picked mine up for $309.99. Just waiting on more parts to start my build and deciding on a color.

Does anybody know if this Jevne Racing CMS Brick SCX10 Battery Plate will work on relocating the battery to the front? Here is a link.

I got the RTR and am loving it.
But - I am seeing the servo arm bolt hit the chassis when the suspension is fully compressed.
What are you guys doing to change that? Is there a servo arm that people are using to move the bolt back away from that chassis brace?

Moving the battery to the font was easy peasy.. The parts to do it came in the spare parts bag that came with the RTR set up.. Thanks "im gunna crawl" for the tip!

I found the same problem with the link on the servo horn hitting the crossmember behind the bumper mount on my kit. Can't even compress the shocks to the rubber bump stops.

Exactly.

Anyone? Ideas?
I thought about reversing the crossmember but dont want to drill the frame.

I've shaved a bit off the cross member without problem so the horn clears.

Man, ever sense Axial released the JK, Jeep threads have been exploding everywhere on the forums, whether it's related to the Axial JK or the off brand Jeep bodies. -_-

On my honcho, I deleted that extra cross member that the arm hits. I have the parts from the RC4WD CMS installed although I went back to servo on axle. Basically the aluminum cross members from the CMS are enough support

It's the first real axial scale kit in a while that's why as well it's using some pretty sweet new features

My servo horn was just touching my cross member, so I clocked the axle back enough to clear it with shorter top links. I made my own 4 link strut for the front with home made links out of 1/4" Stainless Steel tubing and 8-32 all thread.

Just shoot me now.. Cant believe I didnt see that..
Now I can use a different servo arm also..

Thanks BIG TIME!!!

Mounted it on the inside using a ever so slightly shorter arm so the bolt will clear the front axle. Noticed at full lock to the right, the bolt is hitting the servo tray. Dont want to be that close to a dead stop in fear of stripping horns or binding up the servo like that.
Little Drimmel work on the servo plate and we can now achieve full locks both ways making sure to set the EPAs just short of hitting the servo..

RPP has it. At least a couple days ago they did. They're out of the CMS version. I tried getting a hold of Jevne racing, but they seemed to have disappeared. I actually wanted to buy one as well, but made my own version. Saved $45 plus tax/ship!!

Just got my JK RTR today. I must say I'm really impressed! New to this side of the hobby, and was a little unsure how I'd like it. Proof that this release is bringing more folks into scale crawling. I'm taking the family up to Yellowstone to camp for the holiday weekend, and of course my new toy is coming along! Love the forum, so much info!
