That's a CMS (Chassis Mounted Servo) kit with panhard bar. It's really just for scale looks (and points if you decide to comp). |

My personal opinion.. but shit floats. Not that you'll actually have a problem with it.. but over long term I can definitely see that thing binding/wearing and eventually failing. |

ahh its junk. send it to me. jk. i guess with it floating like that it could work on the dingo or the honcho with out any major changes. just make sure your chassis cross beams are tight and strong. |

It's a level 3 Rc CMS kit w/panhard bar. It only bolts to the axle and the servo mount just pinches between the frame rails on top.

A panhard bar is used to keep the axle housing centered under the frame and prevent side to side movement.

It will work with three link suspensions, but the way the suspension is set up in the photo is the wrong kind of three link. Shown is a three link with a wishbone upper. You should run it with two lowers, and one single upper, or with a 4-link. If you run the servo on the frame without a panhard or track bar with a non-triangulated 4-link then the servo may just push the axle to one side when in the rocks rather than steering the tires. If you run the servo on the frame with a triangulated 4-link and no panhard/track bar then bump steer will result (unless the drag link is parallel to the control arms which would be difficult to set up on a scaler or rc crawler)

How do you make a triangulated 4-ling setup? Thanks! |

| Re: what is the point of this? that's actually a helluva question. but on scale trucks it's pretty easy: four links, two upper, two lower. the triangulated part comes from them mounting at a wider point on one end compared to the other.. uppers must narrow on the frame side while the lowers narrow to the axle side or visa versa. your stock scx10 4 link or wraith 4 link is like this. older scx10's are a 3 link that doesn't require a panhard.. it's more of a 1/4 mile or minitrucker's type of three link but it still works ok on a light little rc truck. |

huh. I thought the 3-link required pan hard. Does the stock 3-link need it?
