Default trying to get 100% waterproof

Got everything balloned. Esc FXR, radio FUTABA 3P and lipo. A 646WP Hitec servo. Runs great through hood deep water, but when it goes more than halfway up the windshield the throttle and steering cut out, lights are on...I see other rigs submarine just fine in TTC's and would like to compete but want to work out the bugs.
Thanks for any tips.

Okay? That's all good cause I'm waterproof in a different method than you but that doesn't explain my loss of power when deep. As soon as I pull out full power back?

Is it a 2.4ghz radio? If so they do not work well or at all under water. You could try an am radio if you really want to go submarining a lot, other than that stay out of deep water crossings.

And the picture posted on this thread, I can do that all day.. its the up to the roof up stream in a good current in a northwest creek during fall rainy seaon. Find me on fb if you got it. Zed E Diehl

go to photobucket.com make an account and you can host pics and vids there and post them on here. i think mines a 2.4 and ive had mine almost a foot under water and she was still moving along.

whats this corrosion x thing you mention? some sort of grease? you just coat everything in it and call it a day?

i think the trick is to remove the guts from inside the case and just waterproof them. those little plastic tabs are to dissipate heat and if you cover them they cant do their job. someone wanna confirm this? because i think i killed mine the same way, by waterproofing it from the outside and not just the board
