RC4wd tube bed for Honcho

Tube Back half w/ lexan bed for Axial SCX10

has anyone messed with one of these? Looks pretty decent and compared to a custom job the price seems very reasonable. Only experience with rc4wd I have in this department is the sliders and I really like them.

I'm most curious how it mounts to the chassis.. Does it bolt onto the rear of the frame? That's all I can figure.

Yes, it bolts to the frame in 4 spots.

I don't care for the shock mounting/spare tire holder. It looks ugly.

Ditto. Spare tire mount seems a bit high too...

Now that you mention it that whole spare tire/shock assembly is pretty ugly. If you cut the top half of that off and left the shock mounts it would be better.. Not run a spare or integrate a mounting point down flat over the top of the shocks...

Ditch the carrier and shock mounts and use the RPP shock relocation kit.

I liked mine, looks and all but the top/rear weight with a stock Honcho body was not a helpful addition. I would imagine that with a hard body, project box, and winch equipment to add weight in front it would fit well to offset front weight. Looking at mine, ther is plenty of space around the spare mount/shock towers to throw in a ton of scale items. I may try the shock relocation kit later for giggles. For now it will sit on the parts shelf.

You can do this or pick up a set of 3racing mini LST shocks work great and fit perfect. I been use them on my DH fab bed for few years now.

i saw a truck a few weeks back with this on there. it looked good except the shock mounting. it just looked out of place. the guy also added the scale diamond plate which really made it look great
