Which waterproofing method were you planning, some are a little suspect I think? Do you plan on running in water? If so you could upgrade that esc to a Holmes BRXL that's waterproof. Personally I would upgrade the steering components...this will increase turning radius and replace some of the weak/vulnerable areas as well. Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 11-12-2012 at 11:01 AM. |

Waterproof grease? In the head of the servo? Go lite with it... Gears don't like to turn with a lot in there. If you get a good enough Hitec, you don't need a waterproof one.. go with 300oz servo or better.. cause until you buy a couple diff cheaper ones or do chassis mounted servo, you will want the torque.. plastic dip works! It makes it submergable proof! Aluminum, chubs an high clearance knuckles. Axial cvd's, for max steering. 1.9 pitbulls are my favorite tire.. start were you break stuff, it will all end up replaced in the end.. |

Pull the axles apart anf put some marine grease in them. If its stock honcho, start looking into steering link steel out drives an drive shafts c hubs are most common parts to break. Rock beast , baja claws tsl's an boggers are all good tires. read up on some of the reviews for the wheel tire section

+2 on filling the axles with marine grease. It keeps out dirt and grime and sand and crap and makes the axles heavier so your trucks COG (center of gravity) is lower. +2 on being carefull with grease in the servo. I packed grease in one and it wouldn't turn at all!!!! oops. |

plasti dip-spray is what I use for the servo, remember to put an O-ring over the servo horn to keep the water from getting in the gear box. (I forgot to do that, and it ruined my servo...)
