Novak goat 3s 18.5 combo I have one and a 21.5 combo also. I like them both, you need to decide on wheel and tire also bigger tire more overall wheel speed. Smaller tire more torque.

I had an extra momba max pro in my things so I have been using it with great results. With the castle link software you can set the drag break to crawler profile. I run it with a sensored 17.5 with a 12 tooth pinion and have had great luck with the combo so far.

Probably any good 13.5-21.5 turn brushless motor paired with either a mmp, rx8 or rs/rs pro. I would take a good look at the new 2nd gen tekin motors.

X2 on this ..i currently run the novak goat 3s 18.5t combo in my scx10 and it works great ..started out with a rooster crawler and had good luck with it ..really all comes down to personal preference and what type of crawler you have ..

I also have a Goat, 18.5, run 2S lipos, lots of run time, plenty of wheel speed for climbing hills, and good low end

I just put this in mine and I love it. Super easy to set up with the Hot Wire. The ESC is really small so its easy to mount. Enough torque to snap the rear drive shaft in about 15min and wheel speed a little quicker than the stock with me gearing up and it runs about 20 degrees cooler for me. I know some people seem to trash the Novak Goat system but I have a friend with one in his night crawler I liked it enough to order one for mine and I know you can't got wrong with Castle either. RC electronics are like Auto makers everyone has their favourite.
