Today was a great day. Kansas Rocks ORV Park had its annual Wheeling for Toys event. A buddy and I hit the foggy road at 5:30am in his XJ.

There was a great turn out for the event, admission was $7 and a wrapped gift for the Toys for Tots drive.

We got to the park and got ready to hit the trails.

There were lots of rigs, from nearly stock to radical rock bouncers.

I only tracked the second half of the day but I drove the JK for the better part of 5 miles today. I was driving it in front of the XJ on the trails and got out and drove it up the tougher obstacles when needed. It was a blast, and a real challenge to keep enough speed to not slow up the group but also take good enough lines to not roll over!

There was also a bunch of free ride tracks there that were a challenge with the rig.

I did manage to rip the windshield off today. When it was on its side I would just power out and right itself rather than getting out and rolling it over. Well this caused the lexan to rip through at the two small screws. Not a huge deal.

I have started to notice a consistent squeaking coming from the drivetrain now. Honestly, between 8 and 10 miles is a lot of solid run time on this truck. The stock servo, stock linkages, stock everything, is really holding up great.

I won't be able to leave it alone much longer, but so far it's my favorite SCX I've ever owned.

Yes you can but you need a BEC if you plan on 3s. It's a SOLID ESC, had great luck with it over the last 2 years or so.

This is a new servo from Axial as far as I know, branded the AS3. It does a great job with these 1.9's. I was going to but a baller Futaba servo in but right now I don't see why. I'll keep running the stocker for now.

Mine was shipped without a windshield, I contacted Axial and they sent me an uncut Lexan windshield that looks like it may have comes from the new Kit, because it was much thicker than the Lexan on the rest of RTR body. However they didn't send a paint mask or the windshield overlay that has the thin black line that represents the rubber mounting gasket.

Holy smokes I just read the whole post on wiring a bec and now am more confused than when I didn't know a thing. I have a new scx coming along with a 645hitec, cc bec, and was gonna run a 3s through the stock axial esc. Can you point me to a wiring diagram that will work for this?
