This is how the rig sat after the first 8 miles of running. The ESC had come loose and I used some zip ties on the trail. I noticed my motor was cogging and the loose ESC had pulled the sensor wire out. So tonight I started doing some moving around. I started by flipping the transmission around, and moving the ESC and electronics box to the rear. This used to be done all the time to represent a fuel tank. Not sure if that's still the case. The rear bumper support did require some trimming to accomplish this. Excuse the wiring mess. I'm cleaning all that up now. |

Wrapped up for the night. Got all my electronics buttoned up, much better than my previous install. Moving the battery forward obviously changes the handling considerably. I also threw new Proline shocks the rig, just because I had them around and I dig the look. Before: After: |

I had several sets of the Axial scale light kits around, so I installed the lenses in the front and rear bumpers. Lights will follow soon. They come in this kit Axial Racing - Axial Light Bucket Set (Black) You will need two kits worth, unless you want to install the yellow lenses in one of them. |

As for moving the battery up front, It is pretty typical SCX install except I lowered it about 1/4" so that the body could sit at it's lowest height and not interfere with my battery. I cut the spacers down about this much (plus the width of the dremel bit) I didn't have the plate level yet in this pic But the servo just barely touches the plate at full bump. As you can tell, I installed a Futaba BLS157 servo. It is WAY overkill for this rig but it's what I have around here Running 7.4v it will produce about 520oz/in's of power @ .11 secs. The plastic servo horn will be leaving soon of course. |

| Re: Harley's Axial JK Rubicon Definitely. I dig the tires, they look perfect. The Pitbull's would be my second choice. Right now though the only thing that I would want more is a set of scale Goodyear Kevlars, the Two-faces missed the mark sadly.
