Default scx10 axle help!

i got a used ax10 on here. it has custom made links. either the top links are too short or the bottom links are too long. the driveshafts are binding due to the angle of the axles. is there a way to clock the entire axle without buying new links?

you can add some small spacers, washers, or nuts to lengthen the upper links to clock the axles some. You might have to get longer set screws for the rod ends but you can use the same links. I have the same set up on a couple of my trucks.

or swap out rod ends...
some are a few mm's different in length..
swap out both ends or just one end according to how much it needs adjusting.

If the custom links are made from all-thread, you could take the ends off and trim a little off the links, top or bottom, to position the axle and pinion angle where you want it. You can rotate the rear axle anywhere you want it, but the front is limited because you have to watch that the steering knuckles stay level.

crawlhog showed me these tricks, they actually worked pretty good when I wanted to clock my axles some more. saved me from having to make some new links
