Default Currently build full-size buggies and now getting into RC

First, I want to thank C*H*U*D for steering me in the right direction.

I’ve built about a handful of all-tube chassis for rock crawling/racing (we call it “rock bouncing” in the south). For fun, I want to get into building tube chassis RC buggies and looking for advice. I’m looking for good, quality parts for someone who wants to have fun but not very high $$$ as one would use for racing.

Being my first one, I thought it may be a quicker learning experience to buy a complete used car/buggy or rolling chassis, remove the body if needed and start my tube from there. C*H*U*D recommended the SCX10 chassis.

If I purchase a rolling chassis or the one on the ebay link below, what would you guys recommend for a motor, controller, receiver, battery, steering, shift, etc.....?

As always, any advice is very appreciated.

i prefer spektrum controllers, cant go wrong with tekin speed controllers and motors. and max amps batteries are killer, wont ever use anything else again. i use a hitech servo and rc4wd winch. pretty much it. oh and driveshafts upgrade them too.
