I just made links for mine. Way cheaper than axials stuff. And had enough left over to make steering links as well. If I had not already spent the money on factory steering upgrade So easy Went out with the local crawlers again today. Good times |

I spent a lot of money on Axial aluminum steering/axle parts for my Cherokee and Comanche, but now I just get these really cool and scale looking axle sets from RC4WD for the same money. |

Don't be too rough on em. They break a lot easier than axial axles. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

They do come with aluminum knuckles. There is also a Reinforced Axle C available for these, as well as all aluminum parts for these if upgrading is desired. T-Rex 60 Axle Parts | |

I just bumped the how to in tools and procedures. " how to make links" 8/32. All thread. I got mine at Home Depot. Under 3$. 1/4 tubing. H D did not have I got 1/4 aluminum from hobby town.it was 3 or 4$ I have been told se of the local ace hardware have stainless I also got my revo rod ends at hobby town. They are 9$ a bag. And will thread right on the all thread I held the all thread with pliers and twisted them down. I have confirmation that revo rod ends at pep boys here in Chicago too One bag was enough for my truck, but I have the axial metal steering upgrade and am still 3 link up front The three feet of all thread and tube is more than enough to do the whole truck steering and all I used my dremel to cut but a hack saw or anything that cuts metal will work I also used my trusty metal metric ruler and various sharpies to help me lay them out. It takes a little thought but once you get it it's easy. Good luck. Hope this helps. Way cheaper than axial and any length you want. If you check out my build " The School Run" you will see neither of the factory lengths were right for me |

well i tried touching up my jeep body and it didnt do well. I'm still trying to get that sorted out. I also need to trim the fenders more. but I felt like changing up my honcho body and while I was at it I covered up the chrome lip on the wheels. |

just joined scale builders guild. played around with my truck today as well as fixed a bad hose on my 1:1. i decided to try and get the paint off of my proline body so i just started bending away and it started cracking the paint away from the body fairly well I'm currently trying to peel it off best i can. |

Well im not going to try and fix this body. I will need new front decals anyways so I will just buy another body later. Not sure what I want to do with the one I have. I wish I could just buy a new decal sheet for it |

I read on here somewhere that you can use brake fluid to remove paint from the lexan without hurting the body. I'm sure it won't help with the decals, but at least you could still use the current body for mock up and when you get the next body you'll know how you want it to turn out.

Looks good, turned out just like mine did. You'll like the extra clearance, I went out yesterday and with the added approach it was a new truck. Still not perfect, but for the amount of time and cost its not bad.

For the old body: Paint the inside with a couple different shades of brown or silver kinda sloppy, and then paint the outside of the body the color you want. That way when you drag down a rock or obstacle, it reveals the silver or brown looking like fresh metal or rust. Rob |
