| Duuuuuuuude's Happy Fun Time Honcho
Believe it or not, I received my first Honcho today. Always wanted one, finally found a good deal and got one. No uber scale stuff is planned for this, just a fun, solid performing rig I can do trail runs and a bit of rock climbing with. So, to start, my new, used Honcho. Fairly simple parts list: Front Axle: Beef Toobs Aluminum knuckles/c-hubs Prototype front D-mount Rear Axle: D-mount Trans/driveshafts: Hardened outputs Driveshaft rings Electronics: BrushlessHobbies.com LT4 esc BrushlessHobbies.com sensored brushless motor (not sure on exact model yet) CCBEC PowerHD 1218TH steering servo Servo winch Mods will be fairly simple. Some relocating and tweaking mostly. Overall its in good shape, just needs some sorting out. I'll be working hard today to get this rolling ASAP. This will initially be a fast and furious rebuild. |

10 minutes out of the box and its torn down. First up is the front axle. Beef toobs are in. Prototype front D-mount is made. Sandwiches between the axle case and stock servo plate. Not the most scale looking arrangement, but should be awesome for those who don't care and want a good 4 link setup up front. |

| Re: Duuuuuuuude's Happy Fun Time Honcho New upper links made and installed. 3/16" steel rod drilled/tapped for 3mm. Used the beef toobs to get a better pinion angle and a wee bit of caster. I'm also replacing all the hardware with Harley's SS stuff. |

Rear links and D-mount is on. Just some Axial links I had laying around. Quick and dirty electronics tray. Far from ideal, but it'll work for now. For now I'm running a AE2 and an old Integy 35t on 2s until my brushless motors show up. I've got a couple of 3s 2200mah packs on their way, as well as a small handful of parts from RPP. A quick peek into the trans and I found hardened outputs, so I'm ahead of the game there. Its all wired, reprogrammed via Castle link, and it runs! A bit slower than I'd like, but better gearing and more juice will help. I also think I'm going to lower it a tad bit. I'll be building all new links so that they are all the same diameter, and spray bomb them black, along with the electronics trays. Can't wait to get it in the dirt.
