Default Rubicon SCX10 or Wraith?

My wife ordered me the new Jeep SCX10 for Christmas but after I got researching everything I am looking at the Wraith also just because it seems like it can do a little of everything and it seems a bit faster. I LOVE the look of the rubicon and everything about it but wondering if I would be happier with the wraith. This is my first RC of this kind so this is all new to me. I have had the Slash 4x4 before but that's it.

Get 'em both!

I don't have a Wraith so I can't help out in comparing them.

Faster also = breaking stuff faster (usually). To me upgrading and building is just as much fun though.

What type of terrain will you be on mostly?

Start with the scx10. It will teach you what you want to know about the terrain your driving on.
I have had both and love both, Speed and beach for my wraith and the rock crawling and trail runs for my scx.
You could always find a wraith or scx10 on here with upgrades already on them and save some time.
I like building so I went with the scx10 first. Learned how it reacted to my driving skills.
Fast is always fun till you break something in the first 5 minutes.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I have both and the scx10 won't snap and bend parts as fast as the wraith. I have a proline body, 3 racing winch, aluminum steering knuckles, TSL 1.9 tires, and scale tools and I've still put more money in the wraith with upgraded knuckles, lockouts, steering links, and lower links. Learn how to get good at driving first then look into the fast paced action of the wraith. But if you can get both idk what to tell you but I guarantee you'll break something on the wraith the first week you have it!

I have both and a 1.9 wraith. I had to upgrade the wraith a lot in order to be reliable. The rubi will need upgrades, don't get me wrong but will need upgrades not as quickly as a wraith. Both are sweet rigs but the scx will be better as a first truck. If possible get both!!
