Default Brandon's Axial SCX10 JK

Sort of... Bringing my old Honcho back to life with some fresh parts from the AX90028 Jeep!

I couldn't resist grabbing all these sweet new Axial parts to go along with the new licensed Axial Jeep body.

First body was a sample of the silver, but I opted to try something different and painted it a dark blue on the outside, along with black for the interior.

I ran it like this for quite a while.

Specs on my old Honcho:
Holmes BRXL
Axial 27T Motor
Futaba S9157 Steering Servo
Overdrive Gears in the front axle
Super 300's
Servo Winch
3Racing winch (dummy)
MadDog RC Winch kit
Axial 8 Hole Beadlocks
62Pyro beadlock rings
Maxxis Trepador Tires
Custom CMS BTA Steering
Rear 4-Link

Eventually the silver was showing through on the body so I needed something fresh.

At the same time I made changes to the following:
Painted the 8 hole wheels
Extended the Axial rock sliders
Added rear swaybar (modified from the wraith sway bar kits)
Painted the Vanquish Shock hoops
Painted the Beadlock Rings

Rebuild starts soon. Some goodies from Tekin showed up today to justify completely going through the old worn out drivetrain on my SCX10.

Cant wait to try this out

I went with the 3100kv ROC412.

Like the painted wheels to match the body.
Any pictures of your BTA steering? Interested in how it looks.

Yes, the setup works but it could definitely be better. I plan to make a few changes to it soon and still keep the BTA.

That is the Axial Universal Light bar: Axial Racing - Universal 5 Bucket Light Bar Set

There are a few different ways it can be mounted to the Jeep cage. I modified a few things to get it to set lower, however its not installed now that I have the windshield back on (Green body).

Ah... Gotcha. I made it. That help?

If I end up keeping that mount I will take some better pictures of it during the rebuild.
