Brushless motor, esc combo?

I would like to put a brushless motor in my scx10. What would be a good motor and esc combo? Also what 11.1 lipo would be good to run? Thanks guys, newbie to the hobby but want to learn.

I run a novak brushless crawler speed control and 18.5 motor, use venom 2s Lipo, lots of run time!

the RS is much smaller but I've seen a lot more of them go up in flames than the MMP.

I run a tekin Pro4 3300 with MMP in one truck and a Pro4 4000 in my 2speed truck with MMP... great combo's!

Pinion/Spur is 11t/58t I think

Kitty im gettin that roc 3100 motor, but using the castle creations Momba max pro. It is goin in my new scale jeep rubi. I currently am using a mm pro with a Novak 13.5 crawler motor. Works great!!!!!! Been using the speed control for 1 year the motor for 3 years.

Way bigger/heavier than you want/need in a scaler.

X2. I run an original MMP and 18.5 Novak Crawler on 3s. IMO, more than I need in a scaler. Does everything I need and then some, GREAT runtime (I got about 2 hours out of 1800mah battery - I am easy on the throttle).

I have had my MMP for 3 years (it has been moved from my SCT, TC, Losi Crawler, Ebuggy, and now scaler - SOLID ESC) and my Novak motor for about a year. Very pleased with this combo.

Please note that I have no desire or intention of mudding or getting it wet. If i were I would have a brushed setup.

I also run a 20T pinion with the stock spur. Motor and ESC run cool and excellent low speed resolution. I also use the slipper as a line of defense.

The Viper VTX8 is a promising sensored WATERPROOF brushless controller.

You then just need to fnd a motor. I have also seen that the LRP modified sensored motors have waterproof sensors. The problem is the kv isn't very low for a crawler. You could always gear lower to compensate.

I'm running rs/Novak 17.5 on 3s and love it, good control when needed and mega balls for steep muddy hill climbs! 17/87 gearing.
Driveline is beefed up also.
