Need ideas for my scx10 build!!!!!

I need yalls ideas for my first official build. I need your ideas for: shocks, motor and esc( I would like the ability to crawl in a really low gear instead of having speed but I still want torque), tires and wheels(I already have proline TSL's there 1.9's and have the axial beadlocks), and I would like to know what kind of truck body you guys like, I want the ability to have the bed. And a steering servo. And when you post your items please tell me what you think the most important upgrade is. I already have aluminum parts.

I got a castle sidwinder esc and a tekin 35t motor and it works great for me. Its not fast but it crawls fine.the steering servo i got is a hitec 645mg. I still got stock shocks ( they work for me) and beside that my crawler is stock. I would defenatly put some weights in ur tires and relocate ur battery

Yeah all my weight is up in the front. How much money was your motor and esc put together?

Well i bought my crawler used. But that combo costs around 125. 65 for the esc and 60 for the motor. There are other motors u can get for a little bit cheaper.

The Proline tsl-sx and Axial beadlocks make a good pair.. I've run them for a couple years and they have done everything I've asked of them and more.

For esc and motor, I'd go with a Holmes BR-XL and Torquemaster Pro 35T motor and gear it conservatively and you'll be able to crawl and trust me, there will be an abundance of torque.

Ok tell me what you guys think about these. Dick Cepek Mud country 1.9 tires, and 1.9 RC4WD White Wagon Wheels. And I'm thinking of the RC4WD 45t motor(can that motor work with the stock scx10 esc or do I need another one?) also is that motor a bad choice?

Holmes esc is about 100 bux comes water resistant if you choose so, but say goodbye to warranty and the motor is about 40? I'm not sure.. But as for quality it is second to none and great customer service is great when the owner posts on this very fourm. I weight and vent my tyres, I still run stock shocks without a problem.

Not intended to sound rude, but you should be less concerned with what I like or what Jimmy Joe Bob like's and pick a body that appeals to YOU!

It may seem a bit overwhelming at first with sooooo many build threads to sift through, but honestly you need to start browsing through them You will get plenty of great ideas of what shocks, wheels, tires, motor, esc, ect. people are running just by spending your available free time reading through the countless build threads that have already been posted... TONS of great info to be found around here, but it's going to require a little effort and diligence on your part.

Well in that case I'll go with the proline Comanche, and don't get mad this time but what color should it be out of these choices, black ; black and orange ; or a beater body with different color panels?

Now your off to a good start, a Comanche body is a fine choice

As for the color, again this should be a personal decision... what most appeal's to your taste?

Black is always a pretty safe bet. It looks good IMO (Im a sucker for black myself) - on the down side it has been done a million times.

Black and orange? Sounds interesting, has potential to be unique and stand out.

Beater body... when done properly these can look awesome! You could even go so far as to add some dents, scrapes, or maybe some rust while your at it Ultimately this would be the most unique paint scheme, but it will also require the most time and effort to pull off nicely.

Do you think that a baby blue and a matte silver will look good for a beater I will put blue on one fender and one door and the rest silver and maybe a black fender as well? And I will paint it on the outside maybe to have the real life scratches look

Or grey body with black fender and black door with black tailgate . I like that option better

Now that's what I'm talkin bout! Those Titus beadlocks look good with th e TSL's! How much was your saxox servo? Are you happy with it?

Oh yeah and instead of the rc4wd 45t motor I think I'll go with the axial 55t if my axial has went through this much I think I will go with the quality of the axial motor. Is that a good choice?

thanks man, i live in england so the price of the servo was £45, it's very powerful and quick, it is quite noisy although that is because my radio gear is pure shite, if i had a 2.4ghz set up it would be very quiet, the proilne wheels and tyres are excellent, the tyres are almost unstoppable and you can't argue about the wheels as they a so cheap and very good quality. i would say get a novac motor, very reliable and easy to rebuid, you might find a 55t slow, as did i, that is why i'm soon to be getting a 35t, much better for trails.
