If you're just going for articulation, read this:

Axial Racing - Articulation: Pro’s and Con’s

The more angled the shock, the softer it is. So yes, you'll get more flex.

From a cosmetic standpoint you could mount a dropped bed on there without having shock hoops in the way.

by using this, you can have a functional pick-up bed.

Are there not enough threads mentioning that articulation isnt everything?

Why do people still think scalers should articulate like comp crawlers?

More flex this...

More flex that..

Blahhhhh....

Its koo tho.. you will figure it out one day.

You can make your own relocation kit. There is a chassis brace at the rear that has holes in it. Cut the rest of the brace off leaving just that. Flip it so the holes are facing the rear and fasten it using the existing holes in the chassis. This is where the upper shocks will mount. Next get yourself some m3x12mm bolts and locking nuts from your local hardware store if yiu already dont have any laying around. While youre at the hardware store pickup some 1x1 aluminum L bracket. Cut these brackets to no larger than a 1/4 inch wide. Drill two holes big enough to slide the m3 bolt through. These brackets will mount in between the link truss and axle. Be sure to slide the m3x12 through before mounting it to the axle. Youre gonna need a spacer. Use the spacer from the original mount. Put these on before the shock goes on. Shock goes on next then the m3 locking nut. Viola you have a shock relocation kit. I bent the bracket out a little bit for a little more clearance between the shock and the axle. You're also go need a spacer for the lower links because the shock will not be there. The bumpstops from the spare parts bag works perfect.

Some pics of how mine turned out.

It is much cleaner looking but the only downfall is that it actually raises the ride height a bit unless you run a shorter shock in the rear.

Oh I see, I'm trying to keep my ride height down, good to know though!

An internal shock limiter will help also.

I have the king 100's but they are a bit tall but compressed leghth is perfect so I put a piece of tube around the shock shaft under the piston. To limit down travel. There for making the rideheight right where I wanted it withought haveing to sacrafice shock spring tuning.

A droop setup would work as well. I like the clearance though.
