| Woodenshoe's Trial Truck/ i dont know what to do yet build
So i'm a new to scale building, used to mess around with nitro on road cars years ago and the go fast break stuff fast stuff is not for me anymore. Got a ridgecrest rtr, which i regret buying . I wanted a scale rig so i went and got myself a dingo kit, turned out like this: Always liked truck trial so i went out and found a Fastlane/Bruder(i think they're almost identical except mine doesnt have an interior) MAN Tga Cab and mocked it up on my scx 10 chassis: I'm not sure what i want to do with the back yet, either a flat deck as used in euro truck trial or put a box on it, MAN makes a army 4x4 rig that looks nice. I would probably go for an enclosed box instead of a flatdeck We'll see what its going to look like, used to build 1:24 scale semi trucks all the time so i have some experience in building things but i dont have the skill like some guys on here when it comes to building thing out of styrene yet. Going to take some practice and probably alot of rebuilding haha Anyways i'll post updates as she goes |

Awesome idea on the truck. Post some pictures as you build. Don't worry about other guys. As long as you like it that's what counts. Keep us updated. |

Thanks, it'll be a while before some updates. The hobbystore here that sells styrene is closed till after xmass and i go back to work for 2 weeks on boxing day. so nothing till the newyear. And yes i like the look of the last one as well but with a solid box, no tarp.

i got the same motor for Christmas and got it all plumbed in, it's awesome, plenty of wheel speed but not too much, such a difference from my old novak 55t, happy Christmas.

Got some styrene today and made some of the bed/box, the transmission and rear hoops will be covered up by a load, like the first picture of the army MAN. Still need to add alot of details to it. and stuff like tanks, exhaust battery and toolboxes will cover most of the electronics and transmission on the sides also need to find some different wheels for it, some that have a little less offset so they at least sit somewhat underneath the cab and bed Last edited by woodenshoe; 12-26-2012 at 09:27 PM. |

well a little more progress, wheels came in, still waiting on shocks. Added some detail to the side of the box, mounted the toolbox which has the on/off switch in it Now just working on the details, then i will tear it down and paint. I'm sure its not all that scale at all, just building of a picture and make things up as i go, everything is going to be mounted to the cab or box so i will still be able to switch up bodies if i'd like too Last edited by woodenshoe; 01-11-2013 at 12:01 PM. |

also mounted the battery in the box, didnt like it up in the cab. i think ill be going with a tarped up box, so ill have to bend some hoops to put in the box. going to work on some of the chassis stuff this weekend. More pictures to come.......

really like the trial trucks. I wish axial would release a badass trial truck kit. I'd buy one in a second. they should create a whole new class for those!

Very cool project, I thinkered with creating a Dakar truck too. I like how it leave lots of room for all the mecanical and electronics. Maybe down the road I'll try something similar. |

Also curious about the shocks. ) think its the first project with those and i'd like to see if they're good for my project. Its a shame there's no more updates on this truck. It looked great |
