| My dingo. Any ideas?
Traxxas xl5 waterproof esc l. Axial 55t. Onyx 5000 mah 2s lipo. Regular ole traxxas servo any ideas on upgrades? Or what do yall think? Started out Then New body (new bright chevy) As it sits on my table right now Sent from my C5155 using Tapatalk 2 |

I've run 3s on them. Don't know how happy an xl5 is on 3s.

i ran the 27t axial with the xl5 in my scx10 and i liked the way it performed.

That rig is lookin sharp! I wouldn't recommend running the XL-5 on a 3s but the 2s will work just fine. The 27t motor on 2s has a good amount of torque and decent wheel speed as well. Just try not to overheat the XL-5 and you'll be fine. On the servo, I'd spend a little bit more up front and you'll never have to worry about it down the road. The Hobbico CS-170 is a phenomenal servo and for the price, you can't go wrong. I've been running the same servo for 3 years and I've never had a single issue with it. |

Ya my 2s is plenty for right now but as far as my servo it was a $4.99 traxxas servo out of the box at my lhs. I know its not gonna last long. I know i want a waterproof rig. Actually going to ruin the servo tonight lol we got about 5 inches of snow last night and its our first snowfall and im itching to go run in it. Sent from my C5155 using Tapatalk 2 |

wheel wells are your friend.... you can use tupperware, and I've even seen some people use butter tubs.
